Tinnie fishing with the latest technology just got a lot more exciting and comes with a lot of benefits. When most people think of drones, they think of them flying in the air, right? Well, there are more types of drones than you think.

The world-first multi-functional water drone, the PowerVision PowerDolphin is benefiting Australia’s fishing, divers and water sports fanatics.

With a 220° dual-joint rotational camera, the PowerDolphin captures 4K Ultra-High-Definition footage where ever you put it. The camera rotates 70° above water and 150° below the waterline, broadcasting real-time 1080 pixel footage wirelessly to your smartphone through the Vision+ app.

The drone has a pretty remarkable max transmission range of 1 km. Naturally, the drone will enter waterways that are not the clear blues seen in the press pics, to increase the chances of obtaining great photos in different water conditions, the drone includes adjustable front lights.

PowerDolphin provides an exceptional fishing experience with an integrated PowerSeeker that fishing fanatics will absolutely love. The PowerSeeker can discover fish within a range of about 40m and travels by waypoint to the perfect fishing spot using the built-in sonar GPS to plot the ocean floor.

This cutting-edge tech will allow Tinnie fishing fanatics to tow hooks, lure fish, release bait and capture fish, reaching further than a fishing rod. Once the fish takes the bait, the PowerDolphin will automatically bring itself back to the user’s controller.

The PowerDolphin can move at a speed of 5m per second, quicker than the Olympic record for the 100m. This technology can significantly assist Australia’s lifesavers; the PowerDolphin uses 3-speed gears which allows it to tow and remotely release, lifebuoys, lifejackets and other rescue gear fast and efficiently. The PowerDolphin can act as a first responder, reaching struggling swimmers and marine incidents before emergency services.

“The PowerDolphin is a new lifestyle robot that is not only suitable for Australia’s water sports, photography and fishing enthusiasts but can also help to protect the country’s shorelines with rescue response.

PowerDolphin provides a new perspective of life under the sea and can assist marine scientists with underwater mapping, as well as help to discover and document Australia’s varying marine life.”

Wally Zheng, the Founder and CEO of PowerVision.
